My name is Megan and I’m the ladysmith and stained glass artist behind MV Handmade Designs.
I have always admired the art of hand forged metal. I began my metalsmith journey in June of 2018, researching tools, how-to's, and even took a weekend course at Creative Side Jewlery Academy in Austin. Other than that, I’m completely self taught.
More recently, I've picked up the art of Stained Glass. Much like my journey with metalsmithing, I'm completely self taught.
I've found that there are a lot of similarities between metalsmithing and glass art, and I'm having a blast exploring and creating more every day!
Working with my hands comes naturally to me, and I didn’t want to settle for one trade. I wanted to build a place where I could combine my love for metalsmithing, stained glass, and passion for creating.
Thus, MV Handmade Designs was born.
This is a one-woman shop. Every piece is 100% hand made by me in my at-home studio in Austin, TX. I appreciate your patience, understanding, and support!
Ready to ship orders will be shipped in 2 - 4 business days.
Please expect custom orders and made to order pieces to take 2-4 weeks for design, fabrication, and shipping (unless otherwise specificed).
All items will be shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Shipping. This includes basic insurance and tracking detail. If you'd like to add additional insurance on your package, please let me know before purchase and I will adjust accordingly. You can read more about USPS inlcuded & extra insurance here. International shipping is currently unavailable.
All pieces are packaged with love and care so that they make it to you safely. That being said, once a package is shipped, it's out of my hands. I am not responsible for any packages that are lost or damaged during shipping. If this happens, let me know and we’ll investigate the situation together.
